Welcome to Flood Adventure

In this game, players are challenged to respond quickly to an emergency flood situation. The experience begins with a brief video about the rising risk of localized flooding, then moves to a simulation where players must gather essential household items before a nearby creek floods. With limited time, players must prioritize which items to save, leading to feedback on their choices. Designed to teach flood preparedness, the game continues with a tutorial on creating a "flood emergency kit," emphasizing the importance of planning and readiness in disaster situations.

Flood Adventures is best played with a computer or laptop with an external mouse. During game play, the WASD or arrow keys on your keyboard are used to move within the experience. Clicking with an external mouse is needed to gather objects during the game.

Flood Adventures requires a computer with the minimum system requirements:
2.5 GHz Intel Core i3 processor, 2GB RAM, and at least 2GB free hard drive space. We recomnend using the Firefox or Chrome Web browsers. If you experience any problems, close all Web browser tabs, and quit any other applications running on your computer.

If you are 10 years old or older and located in the United States, we invite you to play the game and help us learn how the game promotes understanding of flood preparedness.
Please allow 30-40 minutes for game play and to complete the survey items.  Game play time varies with one's gaming experience.  Experienced gamers will take less time, while those inexperienced with digital games might take more time to complete the experience.
